Welcome students
Previously as a trainee counsellor and student at various times throughout my career, I understand what it’s like to feel the stress and pressure that comes with studying. It’s a huge commitment, right? It’s difficult when you lose sight of your identity – you are more than just ‘a student’. I hear you.BurnoutBeing overworked can cause symptoms of stress, burnout, and anxiety. Together we can explore what this might look like and feel for you and how to manage feelings of overwhelm.
BoundariesWe can explore together what boundaries look like for you with your work, and to strengthen your self-care to prevent symptoms of burnout and exhaustion.
Self-beliefI can help you to discover what’s important to you, to shine a light on the parts of you that feel lost and disconnected. Together we can build on believing in yourself.
Trainee therapist?I understand how much hard work and dedication you put into your work and with your clients. I can support you in giving you the space and time you deserve too!
“I am so grateful to have had counselling sessions with Sarah. I was feeling stuck in a situation, and she helped me to explore my feelings without judgement. She is a really attentive listener, and you can tell she really does care about what you have to say. She radiates warmth and empathy. Our sessions have helped me beyond measure.“
Support in 3 steps….
Step 1
Contact:Once you’ve made initial contact, I offer a free 30-minute video/phone introduction – here I can better understand your needs, if you have any worries or concerns about the process and how we could therapeutically work together.Step 2
First 50-minute session:Here we will go through our contract together and explore any questions you might have about the process. It is your time to use and I’m here to go at your pace, guided by you.Step 3
Continual weekly sessions:Once we have agreed a regular time and day for our sessions, we can schedule these weekly and check in with each other throughout the process to see how you’re feeling. Some clients then move onto fortnightly sessions and gently extend the breaks in between, which can also support individual resilience.
